K so I havnt made a bowzon on closed since like........vs 1.07? I think, and I know through the patches there has been alot of changes as to a zons passive skills, my new zon is gonna b a strafe zon (cuz i like it) gonna b mainly settin it up as a pvm zon cuz pvp blows nowadays, but my main question is which passive skills should I invest points into?....


Second questions, I see all these lil bast***'s runnin around bnet with these sick circlets/ diadems and fcr ammys and ring, now I know quite a few of these are shopped but I know Lots of them are gambled or mf'd, is there a certain merchant or place where I should b looking and if so what's a GOOD mf lvl to be finding godly chiz? Thx much!!

E/ I am currently using on one char about 410 and on the other about 370ish magic find

Every merchant has a % chance to provide a good item. The best difficulty to gamble in is hell. The cap for magic find is around 400% any more causes mf to roll.

for passive skills you'll want points in the following

evade
dodge
avoid
decoy
pierce

only real thing you need out of the blue is a ist' bow
carry a Faith bow pound the mobs down to close to no hp then finish them off with ist bow,
Most bow zons go glass cannon now and can pull a 10k GA

And MF dosnt roll at 400%.

MF wont make any more magic-rare-unique's drop, it changes the quality,
ie if I use my korea-din/Liberator when GC hunting I tend to get 1 - 2 mod GC's (its about 400 MF)
With my 620 light sorc I get GC's with 3 mods most the time as well as 2 mod scs

The smart thing to do is sod MF if your a bow zon, and get crafting


circlets/ diadems good ones drop act 4-5, (walking Baal runs, just clean out every thing up to Baal on a Baal run)
Orbs Durel guy can drop +4 blizz Orbs with fcr and res cold on %
Druid + 5 nado's drop Chaos runs hell mode
Most good gloves are crafted
if your lazy you can hit nightmare mode and do chaos runs
you can get fire/cold/light (one of them being low) gloves and the resist is in % (not crappy + 14 res fire say)

Prove it with physical drops not math (huge difference).

Its pretty easy do a GC run and count up the mods on them.

ie thats why you get better drops the more people play in a zone;
Its also thats why you get, MF team bots, one hammerdin tanks and sprays 1-2 hammers
(his inventory is free for the pick ups)
With a light OR cold sorc who is the MF of the team, the 2 bots can wreck chaos and Baal in 5-7 mins all the money drops EVERY THING.


PS your on about diminishing returns at 400% mf

This is not because it rolls, its takes longer to kill mobs
'you kill about 50% faster with 400% mf vs. 750% mf,'

To get over this take a conviction merc' and you take Phoenix rune word shield for energy management

I have personally tested different mf percentages over my many years of experience of playing d2 I do know of a topic where this was discussed on another forum but i am having trouble finding it.

I know very well the more people in a game = better drops

DR at 400% is down to how fast it is to kill, the idea is, if you do more runs as you kill faster, and you should a higher chance of getting a better item,
(This makes up for your lower MF rate,)
As I have already said all you do to get round the problem of having a lower damage rate with the merc' and items, and hence mf is not capped at 400% its just you confused the post on DR kicking in at 400% mf as you carry NO GCs to pump up your damage on a sorc cold/light set up.

Set up for a Bow Mf is

Equipment
Helm: Shako with an Ist for 75% Magic Find
Armor: Enigma for 85-99% MF (assuming you are level 85-99)
Gloves: 40% MF Chance Guards
Shield: None.
Shield/Weapon on Backside: Lidless wall (or +2 skills Spirit Monarch - ladder only if you can get it) for +1 skills and a CTA with +6 Battle Orders/Command to increase your life/skills. Instead of a Lidless you can use a Ber Stormshield on the backside to block while running away.
Belt: 30% MF Goldwrap for higher MF, or 15% Damage reduction Verdungo is the best option here. If you can't afford that, or if you need more IAS, use Nosferatu for 10% IAS, leech +10 Strength, and slow your enemy.
Boots: 50% perfect MF War Travelers
Weapon: A Faith Grand Matron bow (Ladder Only) is now the best bow for an Amazon. The 12-15 Fanaticism aura from Faith adds quite a bit of damage & IAS. The second best choice (and possibly your only choice if you are on Non-Ladder) is Windforce, socket it with a 40/10 min jewel
Amulet/ Rings: 2x perfect 30% nagel rings for 60% MF, or you can mix and match with 20% MF wisp projectors. Your resist will be low with all the MF gear you have equipped, so I recommend a +30 perfect resist Maras amulet. Or a rare godly amulet with resist, skills, and MF.
Charms: 5x 3 Max/ 20 life small charms, 1x Hellfire Torch and 1x Annihilus. You should leave some empty space in case 2 good items drop at once, and to avoid having your stash fill too quickly. You may want to use a few 7% Magic Find Small Charms, or a 30-40% Gheeds Grand Charm, however, with Gheeds,
