The site’s owners claim to already be tracking around 20 percent of all public BitTorrent traffic, and their database has swollen to include well over 51 million users, 100,000 torrents, and almost 2 million files totalling more than 97TB of data.

The database is growing, and it’s searchable too. When people visit their site, they’re immediately greeted with their download history, if the site has been able to harvest data from their IP address, but users can also search for files and other IP addresses to see who’s been downloading what.

No worries though, Disney has been tracking their movies for quite some time. This is mainly a simplified way for them to see what ELSE you've downloaded... Or just for your parents to see what you've been getting your hands on.

Nar not really 'effed' we have already had this in the UK and as it stands, holding some ones IP, that can be faked or cloned, isnt worth a bean, the standard thing is if its music, you will get a letter from the recording label or a company working on behalf of the label saying you have down loaded music with out paying.

Its up to them to prove its your IP addy, and if they cant its dropped like a dead duck,

Primarily the Russians. But as for downloading torrents, most of them are already tracked by the labels and your address and full contact information such as your last known address and phone number, first and last name, etc. Are put on a record.
This site is just for people within your household to know what's been downloaded. Whether it's your spouse, child, sibling, or guardian. Or for those who can get a hold of someone's ip and see what they're interested in.
Lots of possibilities, but it's not very accurate nor is it very personal. If you wish to change your ip, unplug your modem for about 5 minutes and turn it back on.
As for those using their phones, you're in luck.
I checked my last ip, it said I downloaded some file recently that I've never heard of. So perhaps they should use a MAC address instead of ip?

I have never lost a computer (yet, BUT I had my phone stolen when I was away, sucked pretty bad)
I hold quite a few computers at home, maybe more than any one else on the site,
(lost or had stolen btw?)

In the household, we have:

3 Asus laptops (all Win7 64-bit)
2 HP Pavillion laptops (Windows XP - downgraded from Vista)
1 Toshiba laptop (Windows XP - downgraded from Vista)
2 HP Desktops (or 3?.. There's a 3rd in our basement. One is running Windows 7 for sure. No idea about the other 2, most likely Windows XP)
1 slow desktop (not sure what the manufacturer is. All I know is it's an AMD processor with a decent but outdated GFX card. Slow startup makes this computer pretty much worthless)

Total: 6 laptops + 4 desktops = 10 computers
Plus phones? We have at least 8 laying around. 4 are in use, activated, and our primary source of internet access via USB tethering.

I have it under very good authority this site has become a low priority target for a group named lulzsec. I expect the database of this site to disappear, users dont want there info listed out there for everyone to see thus sites like these will always flair up some argument throughout large internet communities such as thepiratebay ect

47 PC's in my house hold today (not personal PC's)

16 of them are old cad machines from Jaguar-LandRover worth way to much money (is going to cry when they go)
There rest are an assortment of old lightningfishgames SCSI PCs for QA
And some MoD 'Plod' Pcs

When I got back from Jamaica I had 234 PCs in the garage,

(I also have 7 old Microsorft SCSI 360s) cant hook them up to live as they show on the Microsoft live system)
There were used for on-line gaming QA last year

Encryption. It's free, easy, and available. I can't see any reason why one wouldn't.
