Heroeditor Portable?

Hey Guys,

I have a small question.

Is there a portable version of the HE? Im in school and we are not allowed to install any software...
So i´ve got D2 LOD 1.11 and want to play with HE but i cant install it.

Pls help me :)

Install it on your computer and drag it over to a flash drive or SD card. Attach it to another computer and run it off of the mounted drive. It should work. I've tried something like that when I was in school and it worked fine.

Try what Sheer_Cold suggested, with a copy of the Hero Editor directory on a flash drive. (or, use the zipped copy below)

Hero Editor doesn't need to be installed to run. HE can run from any directory or location. You may need to run the HE program in XP compatible mode, and with Admin rights. The HE installation is primarily to make sure that various operating system and Visual Basic files are installed on your computer so HE can function properly.

Most computers these days have the "extra" files already installed to run HE. If you try running just the HE exe file on another computer at school and it doesn't work, it will likely be due to missing OS or VB files.

Precisely the case I had once. A simple small download fixed all the problems.
